Vegetable Meatloaf 1 1/2 Pounds ground beef, pork and Turkey
1 c Milk
1 ts Chopped fresh or 1/4 ts Dried sage leaves
1 ts Salt
1/2 ts Dry mustard
1/4 ts Pepper
3 sl Bread, torn to small pieces*
1 Egg
1 Cl Garlic, finely chopped, or 1/8 ts Garlic powder
1 sm Onion, chopped (1/4 cup)
1 tb Worcestershire sauce
1 sm Green bell pepper, chopped
1 md Carrot, coarsely shredded
1 cn (4 ounces) mushroom stems and Pieces, drained and chopped
1 Tomato, thinly sliced
3 sl Processed american cheese
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients except tomato and
cheese. Spread mixture in loaf pan, 9 X 5 X 3 inches. Bake 1 to
1-1/4 hours or until done; drain. Arrange tomato down center of meat
loaf. Top with cheese slices cut diagonally in half. Bake 3 to 5
minutes or until cheese is melted. Remove from pan.
